Revisiting Harassment in Today's Workplace

It has been more than 12 years since the U.S. Supreme Court's seminal decisions in Faragher v. City of Boca Raton and Burlington Industries v. Ellerth, which set a new legal standard regarding employer liability for supervisor harassment, as well as potential defenses. Barb will review the holdings in these cases and look at how they have been applied recently by the courts and EEOC. Trends in harassment cases will be discussed, as well as the impact of social media and important take-aways.
