Roundtable - SOCIAL MEDIA IN TODAY’S WORKPLACE
Is your organization up to date on the evolving employment and labor law issues and potential risks raised by both employer and employees’ use of social media? Welcome to the Bullard Law Roundtable coming July 20, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., to learn about Social Media in Today’s Workplace: · Address the legal limits of an employer utilizing sites like Facebook and Twitter to screen applicants and monitor employees. · Consider how employees’ use of social media may interact with employer policies related to workplace harassment and violence. · Protect confidential information and intellectual property interests while being aware of employees’ labor law and whistleblower rights. · Draft a social media policy that conforms with applicable law and notifies your employees of the legal issues that may be raised in this area.
