Family Leave/Reasonable Accommodation/Disability Issues/Fitness For Duty

Family Leave

To help manage attendance of employees with a family leave entitlement, we provide a supervisor's understanding of leaves covered by FMLA and the Oregon (or Washington) Family Leave Act.

ADA and Disability Issues

There is a daunting web of state and federal requirements of FMLA, ADA and Workers' Compensation related laws. Training will make practical sense of the Americans with Disabilities Act and related laws for HR staff, managers and supervisors.

Fitness for Duty

"Fitness for duty" includes an analysis of proper use of employee medical examinations and fitness-for-duty evaluations. Lawful medical inquiries and examinations are essential when a medical decision is required. Requirements of state and federal disability and leave laws and privacy and confidentiality issues are explored.

We can focus on fitness-for-duty issues, or combine fitness for duty with a family leave and/or an ADA presentation to achieve greater understanding.
