Swimming with Sharks: Uncommon Conflict Resolution in the Workplace HR professionals recognize that mediation, negotiation and other “let’s be reasonable” approaches to workplace conflict often fail with intimidating, manipulative or meanspirited people (i.e., “sharks”). Dealing with these challenging interactions requires innovative, high-impact methods that neutralize the psychological power wielded by vexatious people. Participants will learn critical leverage points with difficult people, the “finesse” approach to conflict, mental aikido and pattern interruption, and how to psychologically disarm adversaries.
