Jennifer Sabovik specializes in the representation of private and public employers in all aspects of traditional labor law, including NLRB and ERB representation, counseling businesses on union avoidance strategies, contract administration, processing and arbitrating grievances, and compliance with state and federal labor laws. She also counsels employers on managing labor representation elections, and union decertification, managing the effectiveness of corporate campaigns and union campaigns, preparing strike responses, and collective bargaining. Jennifer has represented employers in dozens of NLRB and state agency investigations, hearings and arbitrations, and has pursued clients’ labor interests in federal courts (including appeals), suits for injunctive relief, and suits under Section 301 of the LMRA. Jennifer advises employers who have no experience with unions, as well as those who have well-established, mature bargaining relationships. She has represented both small and nationwide employers in various industries, including: agriculture, transportation, retail, waste management, janitorial, police and firefighting, timber, construction, vessel building and repair, and hospitals.
Jennifer joined Bullard after working as an associate attorney in the Labor and Employment group at Stoel Rives LLP in Portland. Before working with Stoel Rives, she was an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C., where she advised presidentially-appointed Board Members on issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act. She is a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and the World Affairs Council of Oregon.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Southern California in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing and cinema-television.
