Bullard Smith Jernstedt Wilson is pleased to announce that Victoria Macpherson has joined the firm beginning October 1, 2009. With over 20 years focusing on employee benefits law, Tory comes to Bullard Law as a partner, where she will continue to concentrate her practice in this area. Tory enjoys the complexity and intellectual challenge of her employee benefits law and she also appreciates the opportunity to work closely with clients and other professionals in a practical, problem-solving capacity.
Tory began her legal career at Miller Nash in 1989, after serving as judicial clerk to the Honorable W. Michael Gillette of the Oregon Supreme Court. From 1995-1999, she served as an assistant attorney general in the General Counsel Division of the Oregon Department of Justice, where she advised the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System and the Public Employees Benefit Board. Tory returned to Miller Nash in 1999, after the four year absence, and again concentrated her practice on employee benefits law. She continued to serve as a Special Attorney General for several years, assisting the Oregon Department of Justice with employee benefits issues. Tory also worked closely with the Oregon Legislature to develop legislation that resulted in the 2003 PERS reforms.
Tory joins the current partners at Bullard Smith Jernstedt Wilson in one of the premier management labor and employment law firms in the Pacific Northwest. The firm has served more than 4,000 clients throughout the United States in both the private and public sectors. The firm is also Oregon's exclusive member of the Worklaw® Network - a nationwide network of independent law firms focused exclusively on representing management in labor and employment law matters.
